Between the spacious terrace and the lawn there is a wide, not yet planted strip of beds, which is waiting to be made colorful.
Strong colours in the terrace bed
The owners of this garden want more momentum on the green area in front of their terrace, but do not want to have to look at opaque green walls. We therefore recommend a harmonious height graduation in the bed, with which one achieves a decorative and at the same time loosely acting visual protection.
Three enchanting red dogwood flowers come into their own at the edges and at the corner. The ornamental shrubs growing to five metres high show their imposing pink bracts in May. Also in pink blooms the world rose named ‘Eden Rose’. The filled scented flowers of the shrub rose to peak form in early summer. The light purple blooming hydrangea ‘Endless Summer’, whose flower balls adorn far into autumn, also provides colour in the terrace bed. The main area in the bed, however, belongs to the perennials: purple-blue Stork’s beak ‘Rozanne’, White Honor award and pink flowering autumn Anemone grow alongside the leaf stars Purple Lily and perennial leadwort, also known as Chinese leadwort. Lamp cleaning grass and flat-ball red-brown dwarf barberries loosen the perennial combination.
Blooming privacy at the House
Beds in the sun colour yellow look cheerful and cheerful, especially when combined with white flowers. But before women’s coats, daylilies and Wolf’s milk show their strengths, hornbeam hedges are planted staggered in the terrace bed and give the planting the necessary structure.
So the whole structure of the bed looks more exciting, because the hedge does not form the green tail light, but has a main appearance. It also provides an ideal stopping point for the white-flowered perennial Clematis (Clematis recta), which can nestle against the hornbeam hedges. Already in February/March, the bright yellow flowers of the bilge rose to usher in the garden season. In spring, the green-yellow spurge blossoms shine into the heart of the beholder. From May, the bed is in rich green, gradually the flowers of Lady’s mantle, daylily, White Willow Rose and perennial Clematis open. Pipe grass and the Fat Hen ‘Autumn Joy’ rise to peak form from August and provide together with the berry-like fruit decoration of the man’s blood for a colorful picture.
